We are a new theatre company based in south Somerset.

We will produce work both in the South West and London.

Ultimately, we will also tour nationally.

Our work is visually imaginative and verbally heightened

with strong, integrated movement work at its centre

and evocative sound design.

This is theatre that distills the truth of human experience

and reflects it back.

We believe it’s crucial that people feel art is accessible.

We have a strong desire to share work widely

and interact meaningfully with diverse audiences.

As we grow we have ambitions to produce

challenging, idiosyncratic works

and to support new writing.

who we are

george richmond-scott

Company & Artistic Director

George trained at Central and on placement at the RSC as a voice coach and at Birkbeck as a director including a year’s placement at Sheffield Theatres for Robert Hastie where he directed two projects in the studio.

In 2018 George’s new adaptation of Blood Wedding at Omnibus was nominated for Best Production & Best Sound Design by OffWestEnd Awards. See the trailer on our Productions page. In 2021 Peter Gill’s beautiful ‘Small Change’ marked George’s post-pandemic return to Omnibus and was again double Offie nominated.

He was associate director of ‘Everybody’s Talking About Jamie’ in the West End and is currently Centre Lead at Rose Bruford College South West overseeing the training of former ALRA students and directing across courses.

david blackburn

Company director and Secretary

David has been involved in theatre his whole life including work as a performer and director in both the UK and the US.

He is also a multi-award winning senior management executive with over 20 years’ experience in leading all aspects of Human Resources. A graduate of the University of Aberdeen and London Business School, David is Chief People Officer for the Financial Services Compensation Scheme; a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development; the Royal Society of the Arts, Manufactures and Commerce; the Institute of Leadership and Management and a Member of the Guild of HR Professionals.

anastasia panova

Associate Producer

Anastasia comes from Moscow. She has a passion for theatre and performance and a wealth of experience as a fundraiser in the charity sector. She was associate producer on Blood Wedding at Omnibus in 2018 and a key facilitator of the production’s main fundraising event.

yorgos karamalegos

Actor, director & Artistic Director of Physical Lab.

Born in Athens, Yorgos began his career as an actor in Greece. In 2001 he moved to the UK and formed a physical theatre company (Tmesis Theatre), which gained critical acclaim in the UK and Europe. Since 2011 he has been acting and directing independently in both film and theatre productions internationally. Yorgos is the founder of the London based laboratory for acting and performance, Physical Lab, which coaches actors in Europe and the US. He has also taught and directed at LAMDA, RADA and Drama Centre. Yorgos appeared in George’s production of ‘Blood Wedding’ as Father and Moon.

patricia suarez

Patricia is a movement director based in Teesside and London. She studied MA(Hons) Theatre Studies at the University of Glasgow and trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama on MA Movement: Directing and Teaching.

Patricia’s movement work is inspired through using the imagination and grounding it in the body through somatic practices influenced by yoga and contemporary dance. Her style of movement direction is informed by her yoga practice and her joy in social dancing - salsa, bachata, kizomba, ceilidh and period dances.

Previous movement work for theatre includes: Shakespeare in Love (Associate Movement, Theatre Royal Bath and Tour) Blood Wedding (Omnibus Theatre) Kynren (Choreography Assistant, Eleven Arches) On Behalf of the People (NCMME and Tour) 4x15 (Crucible Studio) The York Mystery Plays (Movement Placement, The York Minster).

Set on the east side of Cardiff in the 1950s and ‘70s, Gill's intoxicating and luminous masterpiece recalls the intense friendship between two boys, their relationships with their mothers, and the tragedy of truths that go unsaid.

Peter Gill began his career at the Royal Court Theatre in the 1960s. He later led London’s Riverside Studios and, alongside Peter Hall, was associate director of the National Theatre. His other works include Kick for Touch and The York Realist.
